For those of you that might be asking what’s that rocking tune in the Petarda trailer, here it is: the song is called “Debela Glava” and is by our friends Diskurz, a young punk band from Rijeka. This is the second single from their debut album “U protivnom” which made a huge ka-bang in Croatia and went to win several “Album of the year” and “Best new artist” awards.

They’ll release their second album in the beginning of 2011 and until then show them some MySpace or Facebook love!

Seems our boys are getting some media love lately!

First, Vid was interviewed for Adventure Sport, a Croatian site about.. well, you know. Read it here!

And then Toni had a nice, mellow interview for DNA, a great new Croatian mag covering skate/snow/surf/bmx. Read it here!

Snowboarder MBM was kind enough to feature Petarda on their website and they also uploaded it to MPORA, Europe’s biggest extreme sports online video community (that’s a lot of words! ). Right now, Petarda trailer is a “Featured video” on MPORA.com and we’re the 5th most popular video right now with more than 2.000 views in 15 hours or so.. nice!

Yesterday the Volcom Peanut Butter & Rail Jam was held at Rogla, Slovenia and our boys and girls Vid, Luka, Anja and David went to see what’s up. Freakin’ ice was up!

It was really icy and cold but in the end Anja managed to get second in the ladies competition (behind Urška Pribošič) and David aka “Grobo” came third in -16 competition (behind Tim Kevin Ravnjak and Jan Kralj – two serious Burton shredheads).

In the 16+ competition, Luka and Vid came through to the finals, where Vid decided to sit it out (as he just came back from the injury and didn’t feel like killing himself again on the ice). Luka finished 4th in the end and missed the European PBRJ finals ticket by “that much”! First came Filip Kavčić, second Andrej “ghetto blaster” Marinčić and third was Matic “iz you fo’ real” Zavodnik.

In the Open competition Luka Jeromel won some cash money, Blue Tomato team rider Flo Galler was second and Aljoša “Jojo” Krivec came third. Btw he also won the Electric best move of the day award and will be riding the Air & Style Innsbruck Rookie event – how sick is that!?

Anja and David are going to the Volcom PBRJ Euro finals and we hope they’ll kick some ass over there!

With the launch of the new website, we’re also announcing our new project – Petarda!

This is our fifth movie and it’s a 2-year project that will be released in Spring 2011. Rene Gallo is in charge for all filming and editing this time, and all the “usual suspects” are riding again (check out the Team section at the top!).

This is just the first look at Petarda, with short “video in progress” clips coming throughout the season, as well as the second trailer just before the release of the movie (free for online streaming and downloading, of course!).

We finally redesigned our homepage, so now you can view all our past full movies, trailers and short videos in one place! Also, very soon we’ll release the trailer for our new movie – Petarda!

Petarda is a 2-year project that is already one year in the making and will be released in Spring of 2011. Besides the new trailer, we’ll be releasing short videos throughout the season so you can see what we’re up to, as well as writing a blog so you can read all the stupid stuff that crosses our mind.
