I just got back from long trippin around, good times!
First we went to Romania to a little town called Baia Mare for the Burn The Streets rail jam (www.burnthestreets.ro) which was held on 26.2.2011. Toni and me went there with slovenian crew (Neds Ferjan, Zavodnik aka Mr. Seducer and Andrew „DeadCat“ Marinčić) and it took us 12 hours just to get there, but as we arrived and saw the setup we realized that it was really worth to travel that long for a contest. It was clear that organizer really understands snowboarding so he made a playground of the course.. Pole jam, rail to bank, perfect downey – setup was fun to ride and a lot of heavy tricks went down! We were all riding smooth and Feri took 1st place in the end! Afterparty was sick – we love Romania J check some of the photos on my fb profile: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=543323342&aid=339994 and check out funny video report from 45D boys: http://vimeo.com/20703592
After Romania we stayed at home for few days and then we took off for Belgrade. Toni, Slepi and me – together with Tribe Films official roadie Čemo aka Kemal- stayed there 4 days and we tried to film as much as possible. There was not so much snow left in Belgrade but we managed to film some spots, it was pretty hard because we didnt had filmer but we managed it somehow. It was really sick to hang out in Belgrade, we were sleeping at Slaviša&Sanda place (thanks again), filming all day and cruising around Belgrade in the afternoons.
Directly from Belgrade we went to Garmisch for the Ride Shakedown Rail Jam which was held on 11.03.2011. We met with Slovenians early in the morning in Bled and continued with their van. After whole day of driving we got there, took our accreditations and watched qualis for the rail jam. Finals were up in 18:30 and it was like 40 invited riders at the start and just 1 hour session. It was really hard to ride and we all got like 4-5 tries in whole session – I really sucked but still it was cool to see all the riders from the scene killing it there. In the end youngbuck from Slovenia Andrew „DeadCat“ Marinčić took 3rd place and 1000 euros! Congrats homie and thanks for the kick ass dinner in Mcdonalds!
Right after the contest in Garmisch we went back home. We started our trip around 22 and we knew that we will be back early early in the morning. After driving whole night (respect Harc & Zavodnik) we came to Bled around 6 in the morning or something. Our roadie Čemo decided that we cannot finish our trip on Saturday, „because no one is coming home from trips on Saturdays“. Thats why we didnt go home to Rijeka but continued for Zagreb, Sljeme, for the Jeti Spring Session and BBQ J we came to Zagreb like 9 in the morning, slept 2 hours at my sisters crib and went to Sljeme for the session! It was really sick on Sljeme, good vibes, sick sesh and spring snow! As we got back from Sljeme to my sisters crib we just chilled and talked about all the stuff that was going on last weeks J check out little skate rail we were riding on sljeme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRC0d_YiVaI
Next day we were home, probably from one of the best trips ever!
hear yall,
